History of The Nursery
The nursery was founded as a playgroup in 1960/1 in a parent’s house. It then moved to a spare classroom of Totley All Saints School until 1975 when the Parent and Teacher’s Association provided a portable building as a temporary measure. That building was used until 1999 when the caretaker’s house became available. The PTA, school and nursery parents then raised the money to convert the house into a very welcoming and homely nursery. As we are a charitable organisation, we do fundraising and try to work closely with the community.
We’ve been going strong ever since and we truly feel that we offer a unique home away from home!

We are run by a lovely committee, many of whom have bought or still bring their children to Little Saints. The Chair of the Committee is Andy. Should you ever wish to have a chat with him, please feel free to contact our manager, Karen and something can be arranged.
We are also always happy to accept any volunteers to take part in the committee so if you are interested, please again, give Karen a call.
